Higher Ed Strategies, LLC consultants have more than 50 years of combined financial aid and admissions experience. The firm uses both full-time consultants and current practitioners to bring high quality consulting services to clients.

Philip T. Malinoski, owner and President of the firm, has more than 20 years of financial aid and enrollment management and enrollment research experience. He has held the positions of Director of Financial Aid, Director of Student Financial Services and Enrollment Research. He has also provided consulting services to private scholarship foundations. He has been employed by Northeastern University, Yale University and Saint Joseph College.

Phil holds a M.Ed. in College Student Personnel from Northeastern University and earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1993. He has presented at numerous professional conferences on a wide range of topics such as tuition discounting and net revenue, integrating financial planning and financial aid, conducting financial aid research to improve market position, and cross training for the financial aid professional.

Henry L. Miller, Vice President of Operations, has been a private financial aid consultant for more than 30 years. He has served more than 150 schools ranging from traditional colleges and universities to graduate and law schools. His specialty is helping schools develop financial aid systems that maximize operating efficiency with limited resources. Henry holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston University.

Nitajsha D. Edwards, Director of Client Services has over 8 years of direct financial aid experience in both traditional and non-standard post-secondary settings. She has worked in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors in higher education. Nitajsha brings exceptional skills to the firm and our clients in the areas of regulatory and compliance assessment and policy and procedure development. Nitajsha is responsible for providing advisory and direct support services to our clients.
